Mohanbabu "35" years

Mohan Babu has completed 35 years in the film industry on Monday. His first film Swargam Narakam released on November 22nd, 1975. The versatile actor endeared himself to scores of filmgoers with his versatile acting prowess and unique dialogue delivery skill. He has also produced many successful films in Telugu.

Reminiscing his association with the Telugu cinema, Mohan Babu says, "I came from a middle class family and faced many ordeals. I thank the God Almighty for giving me the strength to carry on. The audience also stood by me in bad times. I owe my success, both as a producer and actor, to the Telugu audience.

Both my sons [Vishnu and Manoj] settled down as actors and my daughter [Lakshmi Prasanna] found success as a producer. She is now trying to prove herself as an actress. I'm happy to see them succeed. They still have a lot to achieve. Though I played several roles, both small and big in films, I have not lost interest in acting. If a good role comes my way, I'll grab it at once. I have an idea in my mind. I'll unveil it at an appropriate time."
